The Story Behind Drone Singh – From Passion to Profession

My journey began during lockdown with a drone birthday present! Like many, I’ve always loved capturing photos on my phone and editing videos. During COVID, I decided to take it a step further—I bought a drone for my birthday to explore new places, improve my photography skills, and document my travels.

As time went on, I expanded my equipment and invested in my first mirrorless camera to complement my drone, especially for capturing ground-level shots when flying wasn’t an option—like on rainy days. In 2021, I purchased a Sony A6000 from eBay. Though it was an older model, it was the perfect camera to learn the basics of mirrorless photography and manual settings.

Fast forward to today, I’ve upgraded my kit and had the opportunity to work on some incredible projects. I’ve filmed weddings across the UK and abroad, including in Portugal and Spain, and worked on a variety of projects—from wedding videography and birthday parties to sports events, corporate projects, and promotional videos for businesses. Some of my most exciting moments include capturing Shubh live at the O2 and being invited to film the Queen’s Baton Relay in my hometown, Birmingham.

For me, your event—whether it’s a wedding, birthday, or special occasion—is all about you. My goal is to ensure you have an amazing time with your loved ones while I capture those unforgettable moments.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your event, feel free to get in touch!

Welcome to Drone Singh, where creativity meets storytelling through the lens of a drone and a camera.

How It All Began

My journey into drone videography and photography began during the COVID-19 lockdown with a birthday gift. I had always enjoyed capturing moments on my phone and editing videos, but lockdown gave me the chance to explore the world of aerial content creation in more depth.

That simple gift sparked a passion. I started exploring new locations, developing my photography skills, and documenting my travels from an entirely new perspective — above.

Building the Kit – From Drone to Mirrorless Cameras

As my interest grew, so did my equipment. I added a Sony A6000 mirrorless camera, which enabled me to capture high-quality ground-level visuals when drone flying wasn’t possible, particularly on rainy days or in restricted areas. It was the ideal camera to learn manual settings and improve my visual storytelling.

From Hobby to Professional Videography

Today, Drone Singh has evolved into a professional videography and photography service. I’ve had the privilege of working on a wide range of projects, including:

· Weddings across the UK and overseas

· Birthday parties and private celebrations

· Corporate videography and promotional films for businesses

· Live music events

· Sports events and community occasions

Whether it’s a large-scale event or a more intimate celebration, I am passionate about capturing genuine, emotional moments that reflect the uniqueness of each story.

Why Work With Drone Singh

Every event is personal, and every family has its own story. Whether you’re planning a wedding, proposal, birthday celebration, or corporate function, my goal is simple: to let you fully enjoy your day while I focus on capturing the moments, emotions, and family dynamics that make it unique.

I take the time to understand you, your story, and your family relationships, so your cinematic wedding film reflects not just the day’s events, but the connections, traditions, and celebrations that truly matter. This approach ensures that every laugh, glance, and meaningful interaction is captured authentically.

I’ve filmed across the UK—from London to the Midlands—and internationally, covering weddings, proposals, corporate events, and high-profile occasions, including at iconic venues like The O2 Arena and for celebrities such as Nigel Mansell. I have extensive experience filming Asian weddings, including Sikh, Hindu, and Muslim celebrations, and key Sikh ceremonies such as the Jaggo, Maiyaan, Choora ceremony, Baraat, Milni, Anand Karaj, and the wedding reception, as well as Hindu Mandap and Muslim wedding celebrations. Understanding the traditions, energy, and family interactions at these events allows me to document them with care, authenticity, and cinematic storytelling.

Over the years, I’ve collaborated with many of the UK’s leading wedding professionals, including venues, decorators, florists, cake designers, DJs, makeup artists, photographers, planners, and entertainment providers—ensuring that every detail of your day is beautifully captured.

Combining a relaxed and friendly approach with professional experience, I help you feel comfortable in front of the camera while making sure nothing important is missed. The result is a cinematic wedding film that truly reflects your story, your family, and the joy of your celebration.
